Don’t Miss Out On These Airport Freebies!
Travel can cost an arm and a leg these days, so it's nice to know that you can still save a little cash by scoring some freebies at certain airports. Here are a few things to look out for the next time you travel.
City Tours
If you have a layover that's long enough, certain airports will offer free city tours! Most of these are in international locations including Narita Airport in Tokyo, Japan, Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, and Singapore Changi Airport. Domestically, Salt Lake International Airport in Utah offers shuttle tours to those with lengthy layovers.
Visits With Therapy Animals
It can be lonely (and stressful) traveling without your pet. If you're stuck at Los Angeles International Airport, you can visit with therapy dogs while you wait for your connection. Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport has a miniature therapy horse program through Seven Oaks Farm but the horses only visit twice a month. It's worth checking the schedule if you'll be flying through, though! Other airports with therapy animals include Dallas/Fort Worth International, San Jose International, Miami International and many more.
Movies
Plenty of airports offer free movies to passengers these days. Some even have multiple theaters! Check out Portland International in Oregon, Minneapolis-St. Paul International, Vilnius Airport in Lithuania, and Singapore's Changi Airport for details about this fun freebie.
Yoga Rooms
A yoga session is the perfect antidote to the stress of travel, and now you can get your sweat on in a number of airports that offer complimentary yoga rooms. Most even provide mats and props, perfect for passengers on the go.
Next time you find yourself facing a long layover, look for some of these great and free options at the airport where you'll be, and make the most of your time.
