Proof That Different Places In The World Have Their Own ‘Pigeons’
No matter where you are in the world, there is a good chance that you've probably come across a gaggle of pigeons that just won't move out of the way when you're trying to walk down the sidewalk. They're cute in their own way, but also kind of annoying.
There are other animals around the world that have the same sort of annoying but adorable vibe as pigeons.
Deer - Japan's Nara Park
Nara Park is famous for its lush beauty, but more than that, it's famous for the deer that have taken over the park and make sure to say hello to everyone who decides to stop by.
Monkeys - India
India has streets full of monkeys who are excited to greet every tourist and see if they've brought them any snacks. Sometimes, they're a little sneaky, stealing the things they should keep their tiny monkey paws off of!
Blue And Gold Macaws - Caracas
Every morning, the blue and gold macaws in Caracas fly into the city to visit the humans and see what they're up to. They like to sit outside windows and peek in, and they have even been known to learn the words they hear on the street.

Literally everywhere in Canada, there are tons of geese, and you can't go anywhere without running into a bunch of them. The worst part? They can get kind of mean and have no problem hissing at you.

Shiroishi, Japan, otherwise known as heaven on earth for fox-lovers, is best known as being home to a bunch of semi-domesticated foxes. It's believed by the people who live there that these foxes possess magical abilities and grow wiser as they age.
Alpacas - New Zealand
New Zealand is home to many herds of alpacas, all of which are adorable and curious. They'll come right over to you, hesitantly, of course, to check out what you're all about.
Swimming Pigs - Bahamas
What's the only thing that would make the beach better? Why, swimming with pigs, of course! There is an island in the Bahamas called Big Major Cay, where pigs live and love to swim in the crystal waters. No one is really sure how they ended up there, but people who visit the island to see them are glad they did.
Wallabies - Australia
Wallabies are sweet little creatures who love to munch on fruits and plants that grow in gardens. While they do prefer to stay away from humans, they won't turn down a snack or two that they're offered.
Iguanas - Ecuador
Iguanas run free and pretty much own the place in Ecuador. They love sunbathing anywhere they can find a warm spot, and they pretty much never move for anyone. They're just living their best lives.
Raccoons - North America
Raccoons are adorable little creatures that you can find in pretty much every suburb across North America. They're crafty, though, so make sure that you throw your garbage away properly and keep your garbage bin shut tight.
Wild Pigs - Israel
Israel has a wild boar problem, big time. They may look cute and cuddly, but they can be a bit unpredictable and have no problem tipping over large dumpsters and rooting through people's yards to find something tasty to eat.
Cats - Aoshima, Japan
Cat-lovers, rejoice! There is a place in Japan that you can go and snuggle all the kitties you could imagine. The cats were originally brought to the island to help with the rodent population, and while they certainly helped with that, they exploded the cat population, leaving 36 cats for every person who lives there.
Squirrels - North America, UK
If you visit any public park in North America or in the UK, you can be sure that you're going to have several pairs of little beady eyes staring at you seeing what kind of snacks you have to offer. Trust that they have no problem coming up to you to grab what you're offering.
Coatis - Brazil
Coatis are shy little creatures that love to spend their time hopping from tree to tree. But every once in a while, they come down from the trees to see what's going on in the human world. Some of them are even brave enough to let you give them a little pet, though it isn't recommended.
Scottish Red Deer - Scotland
The beautiful Scottish red deer can be seen throughout the UK, but largely in the Highlands of Scotland, as their name would suggest. These sweet little creatures keep their distance, but there are some who will come right up to you if you're hiking through the hills.
Sloths - Costa Rica
Sloths are everywhere in Costa Rica, but they're tricky little creatures. They are experts at hiding, so while they're sitting up in the trees looking at you, it's not very likely that you'll see them.
Penguins - Antarctica
Penguins are kind of silly-looking creatures that have no special fear of humans. This is likely because they have no real land predators. They've been to known to have no problem wandering up to explorers and crews coming to see what's up.
Moose - Newfoundland
Moose are all over the place in Newfoundland, to the point where families see them wandering through their gardens as the sun goes down each night. They're giant creatures and should be approached with the utmost caution, but they are incredible to watch from a safe distance.
Kangaroos - Australia
Kangaroos may look cute and cuddly, and they totally are...from a distance. Don't be fooled by their adorableness, kangaroos can be mean and will not hesitate for a second to come for you if they feel threatened.
Alligators - Florida
Alligators are interesting creatures that are best studied from afar. Though they may look big and cumbersome, they move quickly and are expert predators. You can find them everywhere in Florida, and they have no problem coming into the world of humans. Always check the pools before getting in!
